06. Back. *** There is no general title of the whole split. The last 2 tracks ("There" and "Back") are contributed by SHRINE and that part is titled as "Wander". The first 4 tracks are contributed by the finnish acoustic-ambient artist LINGUA FUNGI. That part of his is titled as "Strange Growths".
"Wander" is a brilliant 25 min long piece of multilayered ambient drift. The basic concept is somewhat dualistic, even antagonistic - 2 long tracks opposing one another, representing the contrast between the nature's mystical harmony (heaven) in "There" and the human industrial progress (hell) in "Back". According to that, the work can be also interpreted as an entering into a dream-state and then coming back to reality (there~back).

"Emphasis" is a 12 minutes long remix of the cult RAISON d'ETRE's track "Deep Enshrouded", made with the permission of Peter Andersson. Only chant voices are taken from the original, all music is composed and recorded by SHRINE. It's been released as a bonus track to the first 99 copies of the debut cd on Corvus Records. *** Nestinar:
"Nestinar" is a remix of an old track by KAYNO YESNO SLONCE and appears on their "Elohim Neva Senzu" special edition cd. The remix (as well as the original) is inspired by the strandjan "nestinar" custom (a ritual bare-foot dancing on glowing embers). Strandja is a small mountain located in southeastern Bulgaria, famous with the preservation of some unique pagan rites. Unfortunately the original ritual practice has been lost. The very last nestinar dancer died several years ago. Today you can watch plenty of ember-walk performers here, but that's only imitation. They do their dances using special feet movements that prevent the dancer from getting severe burnings. The real nestinar dance is not related with any movement techniques since it is based on a total non-sensitivity to pain as a part of a very powerful trance-state caused by intense musical and religious experiences. *** A Quiet Shiny Day of Contemplation:
"A Quiet Shiny Day of Contemplation" is organic ambient track created for the triple compilation set by Tosom Records called "Desert Space". The sampler features Netherworld, False Mirror, Oophoi, Aidan Baker and many more and it is about 3 hours long.
